Which massage is right for me?
Your therapist will ask you about any specific health concerns, painful areas, can assess your posture and what you would like to gain from the massage eg reduced tightness, relaxation. She will then formulate a plan for the best way to treat these areas. To get the maximal benefit from your massage, you can allow the therapist to choose the treatment technique which will be most effective on each muscle and it's current presentation. The therapist will also request feedback from you to ensure the depth of treatment is comfortable for your own particular preference.

When or how often?

Book your appointment online below (even for today!) or phone 9336 7038. We're open 6 days.
You can have a massage whenever you feel your muscles need it, though best results are achieved through regular sessions eg weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on the demands of your life.
Training & Qualifications
In Australia, it is not against the law to practice as a 'massage therapist', even if you have no qualifications! However, the standard of massage and the benefits received will vary greatly between the trained and untrained therapist. A trained Remedial Massage Therapist is able to systematically manipulate the soft tissues (muscle, fat, connective tissue and skin) of the body for therapeutic purposes, this is very different to a day-spa type of relaxation massage. Additionally there are circumstances where massage could be detrimental to a condition - trained therapists are educated to recognise these instances and are able to refer you to the appropriate medical professional.
At Mint, massage is only delivered by our appropriately qualified therapists, who are also members of a professional body - Australian Association of Massage Therapists. This professional membership requires that they have the necessary insurance for a health professional and abide by an industry standard code of conduct.
Private Health Fund Rebates Available
This level of training benefits the client to offer a superior level of service which is recognised by Health Funds in the form of rebates. Private Health Fund Rebates are claimable 'on the spot' through Hicaps.
